Sunday Funday #1

I love love loooove books but I also enjoy my TV shows, my weekly Sunday Funday post will be where I will discuss/geek out about that week's episodes of said shows (Check out My DVR page for more information on the shows I follow and love). It will contain spoilers so beware. Also any movie news and random books new will occasionally pop up in this post as well. Enjoy!

Pretty Little Liars (1/17 @ 8pm EST ABC Family)
Monday was the third episode (Know Your Frenemies) of the part of season 1 of ABC Family's new hit series Pretty Little Liars, based off of the books by Sara Shepard.

IMDB episode description: "Relationships are in flux in Rosewood, PA as the Liars face many obstacles. As Noel steps up his pursuit of Ezra and what he can gain from his knowledge, Aria and Ezra start to feel like there may be no way out. Emily must also deal with opposition to her love life, as her mother Pam's perceived tolerance of Maya comes to a screeching halt. And Spencer must now handle the return of happy newlyweds Melissa and Ian, even though her suspicions of Ian's ties to Alison grow. But with the other girls' support and unexpected help from an unlikely source, the future for the Liars doesn't look so hopeless. Meanwhile, "A" has Hanna jumping through old habit hoops with regard to the stolen money. Will Hanna fall back into her old ways, or does she have the willpower to stand up to "A" and her games?"

Let's review what has happened thus far:

1. Hannah: A hits her with a car after she sees someone write "I see you" on Ezra's car window while Aria and Ezra are kissing inside, A thinks she knows too much.  Now she's in the hospital being pumped full of drugs and in her pain killer induced state she finds out that Lucas <3s her (and was the one to destroy Alison's memorial), that Mona wants to be friends again and is paid a visit by Alison who says she "needs to do something about this A" and A who leaves a message on her cast (creepy!!).

Now she's home and learns that her mother has taken out a "temporary loan" from the bank that she works at and has hidden said loan in a box of lasagna noodles. After Mona surprises her with a welcome home party Hannah descovers that A has taken the money.  This brings us up to date, A is threatening to tell the police about Hannah's ma's unauthorized loan unless she does exactly what they say, aka eat a box (6) cupcakes with little piggies decorated on them created for Hefty Hannah then go puke it all up, it was so awful, poor Hannah (she does not puke, thank goodness). She does get some of the money back but not all of it, so there will be new awful things from A to Hannah tomorrow night.

2. Aria: Someone saw her and Ezra kissing in his car at Camp Mona, that someone was Noel (also the rest of their gang now knows about Ezra/Mr. Fitts). Noel uses this knowledge to blackmail Ezra into changing his grade from a C to an A. When Ezra refuses, Noel threatens to go to the principal. Ezra decides to resign from his teaching position and leave Rosewood but before he can someone tips the principal off that Noel has test answers in his locker. After the very public scene this causes A leaves a message for the PLLs saying "A stands for Alison not amateur" so apparently Noel is not A, and we're back to square one.

3. Spencer: After the PLLs find Alison and Ian's names surrounded by a <3 carved into a tree and then the entire tree disappears, Spencer is more than suspicious of Ian. Now Ian and Spencer's sister are married and planning on having a baby, obviously Spencer is not happy about this. She over hears a convo between the two that makes her question the motives for the marraige, is it love or alibi? Then she learns that the summer before Alison's death both Alison and Ian were in NC at the same time. At the end of the episode the girls are given a tape of Alison on the night she died. You see Alison, happy and flirtatious, the camera then shifts to show Ian then there is a struggle the camera is dropped and you see Alison's hand flop in from of the camera unmoving. Very intense.

Also Toby returns to school to find his locker spray painted with the word Murderer across it and open taunts of the same word being shouted at him in the hall. Spencer has always pegged Toby as the murderer and A but now there is evidence to the contrary and after witnessing a child running from him in terror Spencer spies him crying in an alley, not something a murderer would do, atleast I don't think so, although I wouldn't under estimate Jenna.

4. Emily: Has come out to her parents and they meet Maya, her girlfriend. Emily's Mom is noooot happy and after walking in on the girls studying, but thinking something scandalous is happening she freaks out, causing Maya to leave with out her backpack, in which she snoops around in and ends up finding pot. Emily's Ma tells Maya's parents who decide to send her off to a reform camp. The girls give Emily and Maya one last night together before they are seperated for who knows how long. So apparently Maya is now out of the picture, however if I've learned anything from watching this show nothing is ever what it seems.

So now we have even more questions then we did when this show started. Can not wait to find out what happens tomorrow at the dance-a-thon, I'm sure the suspense will be unbearable.

Being Human (1/17 @ 9pm EST SyFy)
In the series premiere (There Goes the Neighborhood: Part I) we meet a vampire, Aiden, and a werewolf, Josh, who are not only friends but work together at a hospital. Both are unhappy with their lot in life so they decide to find an apartment together and attempt to live normal lives. However the apartment is haunted by a young woman, Sally, the fiance of the land lord who died suddenly and mysteriously in her sleep. No one could hear or see her until these two move into her place now she won't leave them alone, mostly because she can't leave the apt. With in the first 5 minutes of the episode we not only see Johs change but we witness Aiden kill a young woman who also worked at the hospital. He calls for help and the "situation" is taken care of by Bishop (not sure if this is Aiden's maker but there is definitely tension and history between the two). The girl's mother starts plastering missing posters all over the hospital and everyone knows that the girl had a thing for Aiden, now the police are on to him, something Bishop says only he can fix.

As this is all happening to aiden we learn that Josh had a bright future then suddenly disappeared from home (because he got bitten and became a werewolf), we learn this after his sister shows up at the hospital and they are reunited. Aiden finds him a room that locks once closed and can only be open from the outside, a perfectly safe place where Josh can change, a place where he won't accidently kill anyone/thing however that is until his sister follows him to this secret room and locks them both inside. Josh is in a panic but Aiden is unreachable so he tries Sally. It ends with Sally trying to get out the door.

I really enjoyed it. I can't wait for tomorrow's episode and to see how this entire show turns out.

Greek (1/17  @ 9pm EST ABC Family)
Quick recap: we start off the new season with Casey staying in CRU for law school and becoming ZBZ house mom. Cappie is trying to prove to Casey that he can grow up and take life and school seriously. Rusty has one pledge this year, a legacy named Pledge Spidey, becasue someon called the police who end up busting their rush party, causing them to lose all their pledges. Dale decides to rush and starts pleding Omega Chi much to Rusty's horror.

Now that we are all caught up lets start discussing this episode Cross Examined Life. Ashley is back in CRU!! She left her job in NY because it basically sucked so yay Casey has her bff back and just in time too bc her fellow law students all hate her. They think she slept her way into the CRU law program. But by the end of the episode we watch her go all Legally Blond on their butts proving to all that she deserves to be there oh and Katherine is back. The rest of the episode is Rusty realizing that the Omega Chis actually want Dale as a pledge and Cappie and Calvin bonding over a school assignment.

That's it for the shows this week. Besides new episodes of the above shows, Vampire Diaries, Nikita and Supernatural are all back next week, yay!!!
