TV Show News to geek out about

I know this site has been around for a while but I just discovered SpoilerGuide.com - your source for anything and everything tv shows - and because of this discovery I just learned that The CW will premiere the pilot for LJ Smith's The Secret Circle this fall.  I am totally geeking out here!!! Vampire Diaries was the first of her series that I had read but The Secret Circle is definitely my favorite.  You must read these, especially if you love TVD.  I wonder if they will ever base a TV show/movie off of The Forbidden Game?  That would be SWEET!

Check out this article http://www.spoilersguide.com/new-shows/the-secret-circle-kevin-williamson-spills-promising-details/ from SpoilerGuide.com among others that discuss the cast and much much more. So excited!!

The CW also announced the Season 3 renewal of The Vampire Diaries. Woot Woot! (http://www.spoilersguide.com/vampire-diaries/season-3/)

But most importantly from this awesome site comes the news that The CW has renewed the best show on TV Supernatural for it's 7th season.  For die-hard fans, such as myself, this is even more exciting that The Secret Circle.

Paranormal Truth or Dare (Thurs 2/9)

Post about your favorite Book Boyfriend or Girlfriend. Who would you love to see step out of a book and into your living room? (Has to be from a paranormal since this is Paranormal Truth or Dare)

Goodness there are soooo many. I have to think about this. I really love Stark from the House of Night series and Jesse from Meg Cabot's The Mediator series but in the end there are two men I just love Damien from the Vampire Diaries and Justin from Maggie Quinn: Girl vs Evil. I love Damien because he's the bad boy turned good.  He was evil but then he fell in love with Elena and changed for her even though in the end she chose his brother over him, I'll choose you Damien. I love Justin becuase he is human and a genuine good guy. He's a hero even though in the end Maggie has to fight the Demon on her own he is always there to help her in any way he can.  He's reliable and he has the best major EVER!! Oh and Prince Char from Ella Enchanted talk about your Prince Charming, that's my kind of man. Those are my paranormal crushes, I have others that are not from Paranormal books but still very yummy.

Sunday Funday #2 (Week 1/24/11-1/30/11)

Pretty Little Liars
Careful What U Wish 4
(1/24 @ 8pm EST ABC Family)
IMDB summary: "As the school gets ready for the dance-a-thon, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer have more on their minds than raising money for the school trip to Washington, DC. Hanna is having a hard time finding a job to help her family's financial situation, but when "A" has a job for her, will Hanna be able to refuse? Emily can only think of Maya and is desperate to speak to her -- so much so that she enlists the help of Caleb, the new bad boy in the school. And as an important piece of property goes missing, Spencer finds being in close quarters with her new brother-in-law, Ian, more difficult than ever. Meanwhile, Aria's former babysitter, Simone, comes back to town for a surprise visit. But what should be a happy reunion quickly becomes a nightmare for Aria when Simone sets her sights on Ezra."

Bring on the new characters, we have Caleb the new yummy bad boy who I think has a thing for Emily, woo woo and Simone, Aria's babysitter and the bump in her and Ezra's relationship, thanks to her ma trying to set Simone and Ezra up, way to go ma. I know I usually go for the good boy but I'm really liking Caleb, thanks for the new eye candy ABC Family.

And Lucas is back, aww I love Lucas, he's good for Hannah, I really hope he doesn't go all psycho on her (I mean he was po-ed enough to destroy Alison's memorial). A is such a ::cough:: rhymes with witch ::cough:: and is it just me or does A have it out for Hannah more so than the other girls? Poor Lucas and Hannah.

Ian is Terrifying, absolutely freaky. Everything he does is so creepy and menacing. So of course Emily gets krunked (and a little cranky) and confronts him saying she knows what he did and he won't get away with it, Spencer covers and says Em was talking about their kiss last summer, he then threatens her. A bit too intense for someone who was just talking about a simple kiss over a year ago. So Spencer's computer goes containing the scary video of Alison.  The suspect Ian but have no proof, even after it shows up in Spencer's house, video erased but plus one creepy pic of Alison leaving the barn on the night she died. She was being followed. The show just keeps getting creepier and creepier.

Ella saw A!!! OMG!!! That was sooooooo crazy creepy!! Can't wait for next week, did you see the preview, insane!

Being Human
There Goes the Neighborhood: Part II
(1/24 @ 9pm EST SyFy)
Another fantastic episode. We learn more about Sally in this episode, how she died and just how strong the bond between her and Danny is. It's so strong that her desire to be seen by him becomes so intense he actually has a moment where he senses her.

Aidan thinks he killed Rebecca, little does he know that she was turned, now he has to deal with that. And Josh has to deal with telling his sister he can never see her again.

Greek
All About Beav
(1/24 @ 9pm EST ABC Family)

YAY!! I love Beaver :o) This episode is all about Beav, yay!! He is by far my fav character so this is awesome!! This is the best episode ever and it's only been 5 minutes :o)

What we learn:
  • He gets a phone call every morning from his ma telling him he's a star of his own life or something like that.
  • He sleeps with a stuffed Penguin named PenLucky.
  • Aww he likes Katherine "Pretty Lady" (she likes him too :o).
  • His name is Walter.
  • He's such a nerd (Glee and White Chocolate Raspberry Mocha Lattes with extra whip classic!)
  • He's going to be a kindergarten teacher!! "For the children"
We also learn a little about Heath, apparently he is a striper and a seller of term papers.

Beav Quotes:
"Poptart PB&J?"

Beav: "Want me to pass a message on to Casey for you?"
Cappie: "Yeah that didn't turn out so great last time"
Beav: "It's not my fault 'I'm going to be late' sounds like 'I'm going to masterbate"

Casey: "I'm seeing you alot today"
Beav: "Maybe I was there all along you just didn't notice"

Even though this amazing episode focused on Beaver there were other character story lines. Here is a quick list:
  1. Rusty gives a presentation about his self healing wire, it gets the funding but he is kicked off the project after the decision is made to give the project to a professional research team. Really sucks
  2. Rusty and Dana break up.
  3. Rusty and Ashley share an intimate hug...they keep showing the preview of them kissing, when is this going to happen?
  4. Rebecca uses Cappie to make Evan jealous which results in a fight between the two. (Beav is his wise ways points out that they fight because they both fell in love with Casey, interesting)
That's basically it and I will say it again BEST EPISODE EVER!! Much <3 for Beaver. He's hot, sweet, funny, wiser than he acts, and loves kids, can he be real please!!

Vampire Diaries
The Descent
(1/27 @ 8pm EST The CW)

IMDB Summary: "Stefan has his own ideas about Elena's new plan for the future. While Damon tries to get the truth out of Jules, he asks Elena to keep an eye on Rose, a situation that turns unexpectedly dangerous. Caroline and Matt try to be honest about their feelings for one another, and Tyler's reaction to Caroline's generosity comes as a surprise to her. Damon struggles to hide his true feelings when a life-and-death crisis hits him harder than he expected."

Stupid snow made me miss the entire episode thank goodness The CW played it before Superantural.

Vampire Rose is getting worse after she is bitten by Werewolf Jules, Damon geniusly leaves Elena to take care of Rose (in my opinion not one of his brighter moments) who then thinking she is Katherine attacks her. Rose then goes on a rampage attaching people and killing them because of the dementia the werewolf bite is causing. It's really very sad. And you can tell Damon really cares about her, about whats happening to her, it's very obvious in the end when he kills her (since that's the only way to cure a werewolf bite) after he helps her see visit her favorite place when she was a human in a dream. I'll admit it I teared up a bit.

Stefan tries to help Elena find Isobel since Elijah said she was the one who could get them to Claus. He calls Isobel but instead of her he gets John.

Matt kisses Caroline, who freaks out and runs away then tells him she loves him then freaks out again and runs away again. Caroline then tells Tyler that if he were to bite her, he would have killed her. Then Tyler kisses her and she freaks out "Everyone needs to stop kissing me."

Then Tyler meets up with Jules who tells him she's a werewolf and can help him. She then tells him that Caroline isn't the only Vampire in Mystic Falls.

Damon lost Rose because Jules was trying to kill him but bit Rose instead, so drunk, grieving, full of guilt he does something so very very very stupid, he kills a girl. Not good.

Supernatural
Like a Virgin
(1/28 2/4 @ 9pm EST The CW)

So apparently The CW decided to move Superantural from tonight to next Friday 2/4. You can imagine the up roar this has caused among the Supernatural fandom. We are NOT happy. I kept staring at that the guide my brain not comprhending why Nikita was on instead of Supernatural. Boo on you CW boo on you. #saltandburn

Sunday Funday #1

I love love loooove books but I also enjoy my TV shows, my weekly Sunday Funday post will be where I will discuss/geek out about that week's episodes of said shows (Check out My DVR page for more information on the shows I follow and love). It will contain spoilers so beware. Also any movie news and random books new will occasionally pop up in this post as well. Enjoy!

Pretty Little Liars (1/17 @ 8pm EST ABC Family)
Monday was the third episode (Know Your Frenemies) of the part of season 1 of ABC Family's new hit series Pretty Little Liars, based off of the books by Sara Shepard.

IMDB episode description: "Relationships are in flux in Rosewood, PA as the Liars face many obstacles. As Noel steps up his pursuit of Ezra and what he can gain from his knowledge, Aria and Ezra start to feel like there may be no way out. Emily must also deal with opposition to her love life, as her mother Pam's perceived tolerance of Maya comes to a screeching halt. And Spencer must now handle the return of happy newlyweds Melissa and Ian, even though her suspicions of Ian's ties to Alison grow. But with the other girls' support and unexpected help from an unlikely source, the future for the Liars doesn't look so hopeless. Meanwhile, "A" has Hanna jumping through old habit hoops with regard to the stolen money. Will Hanna fall back into her old ways, or does she have the willpower to stand up to "A" and her games?"

Let's review what has happened thus far:

1. Hannah: A hits her with a car after she sees someone write "I see you" on Ezra's car window while Aria and Ezra are kissing inside, A thinks she knows too much.  Now she's in the hospital being pumped full of drugs and in her pain killer induced state she finds out that Lucas <3s her (and was the one to destroy Alison's memorial), that Mona wants to be friends again and is paid a visit by Alison who says she "needs to do something about this A" and A who leaves a message on her cast (creepy!!).

Now she's home and learns that her mother has taken out a "temporary loan" from the bank that she works at and has hidden said loan in a box of lasagna noodles. After Mona surprises her with a welcome home party Hannah descovers that A has taken the money.  This brings us up to date, A is threatening to tell the police about Hannah's ma's unauthorized loan unless she does exactly what they say, aka eat a box (6) cupcakes with little piggies decorated on them created for Hefty Hannah then go puke it all up, it was so awful, poor Hannah (she does not puke, thank goodness). She does get some of the money back but not all of it, so there will be new awful things from A to Hannah tomorrow night.

2. Aria: Someone saw her and Ezra kissing in his car at Camp Mona, that someone was Noel (also the rest of their gang now knows about Ezra/Mr. Fitts). Noel uses this knowledge to blackmail Ezra into changing his grade from a C to an A. When Ezra refuses, Noel threatens to go to the principal. Ezra decides to resign from his teaching position and leave Rosewood but before he can someone tips the principal off that Noel has test answers in his locker. After the very public scene this causes A leaves a message for the PLLs saying "A stands for Alison not amateur" so apparently Noel is not A, and we're back to square one.

3. Spencer: After the PLLs find Alison and Ian's names surrounded by a <3 carved into a tree and then the entire tree disappears, Spencer is more than suspicious of Ian. Now Ian and Spencer's sister are married and planning on having a baby, obviously Spencer is not happy about this. She over hears a convo between the two that makes her question the motives for the marraige, is it love or alibi? Then she learns that the summer before Alison's death both Alison and Ian were in NC at the same time. At the end of the episode the girls are given a tape of Alison on the night she died. You see Alison, happy and flirtatious, the camera then shifts to show Ian then there is a struggle the camera is dropped and you see Alison's hand flop in from of the camera unmoving. Very intense.

Also Toby returns to school to find his locker spray painted with the word Murderer across it and open taunts of the same word being shouted at him in the hall. Spencer has always pegged Toby as the murderer and A but now there is evidence to the contrary and after witnessing a child running from him in terror Spencer spies him crying in an alley, not something a murderer would do, atleast I don't think so, although I wouldn't under estimate Jenna.

4. Emily: Has come out to her parents and they meet Maya, her girlfriend. Emily's Mom is noooot happy and after walking in on the girls studying, but thinking something scandalous is happening she freaks out, causing Maya to leave with out her backpack, in which she snoops around in and ends up finding pot. Emily's Ma tells Maya's parents who decide to send her off to a reform camp. The girls give Emily and Maya one last night together before they are seperated for who knows how long. So apparently Maya is now out of the picture, however if I've learned anything from watching this show nothing is ever what it seems.

So now we have even more questions then we did when this show started. Can not wait to find out what happens tomorrow at the dance-a-thon, I'm sure the suspense will be unbearable.

Being Human (1/17 @ 9pm EST SyFy)
In the series premiere (There Goes the Neighborhood: Part I) we meet a vampire, Aiden, and a werewolf, Josh, who are not only friends but work together at a hospital. Both are unhappy with their lot in life so they decide to find an apartment together and attempt to live normal lives. However the apartment is haunted by a young woman, Sally, the fiance of the land lord who died suddenly and mysteriously in her sleep. No one could hear or see her until these two move into her place now she won't leave them alone, mostly because she can't leave the apt. With in the first 5 minutes of the episode we not only see Johs change but we witness Aiden kill a young woman who also worked at the hospital. He calls for help and the "situation" is taken care of by Bishop (not sure if this is Aiden's maker but there is definitely tension and history between the two). The girl's mother starts plastering missing posters all over the hospital and everyone knows that the girl had a thing for Aiden, now the police are on to him, something Bishop says only he can fix.

As this is all happening to aiden we learn that Josh had a bright future then suddenly disappeared from home (because he got bitten and became a werewolf), we learn this after his sister shows up at the hospital and they are reunited. Aiden finds him a room that locks once closed and can only be open from the outside, a perfectly safe place where Josh can change, a place where he won't accidently kill anyone/thing however that is until his sister follows him to this secret room and locks them both inside. Josh is in a panic but Aiden is unreachable so he tries Sally. It ends with Sally trying to get out the door.

I really enjoyed it. I can't wait for tomorrow's episode and to see how this entire show turns out.

Greek (1/17  @ 9pm EST ABC Family)
Quick recap: we start off the new season with Casey staying in CRU for law school and becoming ZBZ house mom. Cappie is trying to prove to Casey that he can grow up and take life and school seriously. Rusty has one pledge this year, a legacy named Pledge Spidey, becasue someon called the police who end up busting their rush party, causing them to lose all their pledges. Dale decides to rush and starts pleding Omega Chi much to Rusty's horror.

Now that we are all caught up lets start discussing this episode Cross Examined Life. Ashley is back in CRU!! She left her job in NY because it basically sucked so yay Casey has her bff back and just in time too bc her fellow law students all hate her. They think she slept her way into the CRU law program. But by the end of the episode we watch her go all Legally Blond on their butts proving to all that she deserves to be there oh and Katherine is back. The rest of the episode is Rusty realizing that the Omega Chis actually want Dale as a pledge and Cappie and Calvin bonding over a school assignment.

That's it for the shows this week. Besides new episodes of the above shows, Vampire Diaries, Nikita and Supernatural are all back next week, yay!!!
