PLL season finale was awesome, intense and completely insane. What I went away with: I <3 hannah, the parents are just as crazy and as messed up as their kids (if not more), Camp Mona looked awesome (even if it's name sake is a bratty psycho) and A is C-R-E-E-P-Y and a total nut job. My cousin did let blab the ending to the entire series to me last week so you can't imagine how interesting it is watching this, knowing exactly how it ends. Can't wait for it to start back up in the fall/winter, not really sure when that will be exactly but I'm excited :o)
This is going to be a short blog tonight, I'm pretty beat, it's been fun so until tomorrow stay secretive my pretty little liars.

oh my god the bend and snap works everytime
Is this not the most insanely awful thing you have ever heard? In Portland, Oregon at a local fiar a little girl was selling lemonade for $.50 a cup when two health inspectors approached her asking to see her $120 license and when the other vendors rallied around her because she didn't have this "license" the inspectors threated her with a $500 fine until she left in tears. Can you say power trip? WTF health inspectors what is wrong with you? Kids have been raising money for toys and candy via lemonade stands forever, it's an American Tradition and those puff balls ruined it. Well at least the Multnomah County Chair called to apologize for the incident and koodos to the vendors who rallied around the little girl. You can find out more about this story here, also check out these photos of the Preston & Steve WMMR Intern Lemonade Stand, they're way of showing just how absurd the whole Oregon situation was. What are your thoughts?

TGIF!!!
It's finally Friday!! Unfortunately this has been a tough week but now that it's over lets de-stress with a fun relaxing weekend Bo) <-- he's wearing sunglasses if you couldn't tell.
So I think I'm slowly getting the hang of this whole blogging concept. I know I have to work harder on getting the entries out on time but that will become routine quickly. There are 2 major things I need to do to better my blog: 1. Design. I have added some widgets/gadgets but I would like to add more and definitely tweet the design a bit. 2. Research. With work and what not it's really tough trying to keep up with the latest news and making sure it's accurate and sourced properly. So if you see something that maybe wrong or not sourced correctly please let me know, I will definitely fix/update it ASAP.
I've been a little movie crazy this week but I've come across so many great trailers that I can't help it, I must share it.
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World will be released on Friday the 13th of this month and I must say it looks positively wonderful. It's already received an 88% on RottenTomatoes, which is pretty awesome.
Dare I say it? This movie may be worth spending $10 to see in theaters.
And it's based off of a comic book, that is so yay!!

We're gonna need a bigger boat
So you know how I said that I believe in Karma and that sending hate out into the universe is bad Karma, well I'm about to break my own rule, I HATE CENTIPEDES!! Nothing should have that many legs, be able to move that fast and recide in my apartment. Waking up at 1:30 am to a papa sized centipede moving across your bedroom ceiling is not what I would call a good time. And why must they be so damn hard to kill? I mean seriously I almost used up all of my hair spray and the giant can of raid trying to kill this freak of nature and it still wouldn't die, that is not until I crushed it with a flip flop then flushed it down the toilet. I am not ashamed to say that I am a girl who is afraid of spiders, I have nightmares about spiders that are so bad my friends and family loving refer to them as "Spider Dreams" and at the moment I would take a spider over a centipede any day, which is a big deal for me. So sorry universe but I hate hate hate hate HATE centipedes. Bleh!!
So I was on IMDB the other day and I saw that on March 25, 2011 a movie called Sucker Punch will be released, have you seen this? It's looks bad ass!! the trailer is really kick ass, I suggest you take break from your busy work day and check it out.
There are a whole series of these posters this one is the main character.

Happy Hump Day!!
The summer of 2010 will be coming to an end soon, is anyone else as blown away by the fact that it's already August as much as I am? Lets reflect on our summer activities shall we? I worked, spent my first summer in my own place, read ALOT, started weight watchers and already lost 11.8 pounds, went to the beach, got my first real tan in years, turned 24, and started this blog. A pretty good, chillaxing, productive summer if I do say so myself but next year I have a little more planned:
1. Reach goal weight before bday and wear a bikini to the beach
2. Turn 25 in style
3. Lukestock
4. XTU Concert
5. RenFaire BeerFest
6. Comic Con 2011 - I'm most excited about this. After going through the videos, photos and articles from this year's Comic Con I am definitely going to be there in 2011.
This morning while I was getting ready for work I saw a trailer for Vampires Suck. It's probably blaspheme, as an avid reader of the vampire genre, but I am definitely going to see this movie.

Cassandra Clare, author of one of my favorite series of books The Mortal Instruments, had a live chat earlier today (that I unfortunately missed because of work, stupid real world responsibility...if you were in the same position as me you can check out the live chat here) in which she revealed that there will be 2 more books in the Mortal Instruments Series, that's right my fellow shadow hunters TWO MORE BOOKS!! YAY!! They will be...wait for it....
Click here to watch Cassie Clare herself make this wonderfully awesome announcement and/or visit the Mortal Instruments site for more info :o)

Review: Jealousy (Strange Angels #3) by Lili St. Crow
I finished Jealousy (Strange Angels #3) by Lili St. Crow, aka Lilith Saintcrow, last night and it definitely lived up to my expectations. If you had never heard of Strange Angels until now it's The CW's Supernatural meets Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy, which means it's AWESOME!!!
However, if I could use one word to describe this series it would be "gritty." You almost feel uncomfortable and tense while reading this, which surprising enough is not a bad thing, in fact I would say it is one of the many reasons why these books are worth reading. Strange Angels is not light and fluffy, the "love/romantic" scenes do not feel like "love/romantic" scenes, and Saintcrow leaves little to the imagination when it comes to the gory details.
These books have a sense of reality, as if the REAL World actually exists in our word. Dru's character is developed so well that you find yourself feeling how she feels, this goes for all the characters no matter how small, if they are good you care about what happens to them, if they are evil you strongly dislike them with a passion (because we don't hate, we don't send that karma out into the universe). Nothing is perfect, even the unnaturally beautiful djamphir boys have their flaws. This is unusual for young adult novels which is probably why I love it so much.
Throughout the first two novels Dru is this strong female character, sure of her world, even with the existance of the REAL World. She can take care of herself, thanks to her dad's training and the touch. Even though she's dealing with the loss of her father, the confusion that came with the knowledge of her mother's identity and past, and the fear of the nosferatu hunting her, you never get a sense of Dru ever losing control. Although, everything comes crashing down on her in this new installment.
There's a constant current of fear, confusion, grief, exhaustion and tension that runs throughout this novel. There is plenty of action, mystery and, unlike the previous installments, romance (and since I am a hopeless romantic I was very pleased about this). Unfortunately, Dru did annoy me a bit with her whining and denial of the obvious (I spent alot of time yelling at the book or sighing in frustration which awarded me somestrange looks) but when I reflected on her behavior, I had to admit she was handling everything much better than I ever could. I mean you would be whiny too if you were always on edge, always exhausted, always sad and on top of all that you're dealing with boy drama, a bitchy "pretty" girl (only other female in the whole school besides you by the way) who is obviously out to get you and uncontrolable frizzy hair. I would definitely be pmsing.
In the end we get the old Dru back and a cliff hanger so good you won't be able to keep your aspect from showing. This is a must read page turner that you won't be able to keep from devouring. I guess all that's left to say is Bravo Lilith Saintcrow, now lets get that fourth installment out asap please.
